A real, handmade, honest to goodness burger in a place you didn't expect it.
Having moved to Switzerland, a country known mostly for cuisine based purely on melted cheese, I was braced to only enjoy a decent burger whenever I made my way stateside or back to Copenhagen.
Lo and behold, a real burger arrived in Lausanne.
Once a week, I'll make it my lunch break outing. A brisk walk to Holy Cow, where the owner and crew slave over a huge hotplate in a tiny kitchen to turn out some of the best burgers I've had in a long time.
It's the little thing that makes a better day.
